Artists' retreat and natural beauty, Door County has in addition to lovely landscapes a range of historic sights, miles of hiking trails and plenty of places to put in a boat.
This trail is ideal for visitors of all ages, riding abilities and experience levels. The trail system is highlighted by rolling terrain, wooden bridges and a variety of woodlands and wetlands. A great variety of wildlife and vegetation can be found along the trail. The vegetation changes from low marsh areas and beaver ponds to forested uplands of hemlock, hardwoods and red pine plantations. The northern most point is located near the Chippewa Campground on the shores of Chequamegon Waters. A trailhead is also located on State Highway 64 that provides an information board will trail maps and toilet facilities.
